Rose Tinted Public Relations was hired by Festival Director Tim Richardson in November 2013 to head up the Press Office for the 3rd Chelsea Fringe. Rosie has known Tim in his role as a garden writer for many years and so when he asked RTPR to handle press for the festival she jumped at the opportunity to be involved in this hugely exciting project.
The 2014 Chelsea Fringe ran from 17 May – 8 June. The brief was to build upon coverage generated in years one and two and assist in establishing the Fringe brand and ensure it becomes part of the gardening calendar both in the UK and beyond.
Coverage continues to flow in but key pieces were secured in Gardens Illustrated, Homes and Gardens, The Guardian and Daily Telegraph. Broadcast partner for the festival was BBC Radio London 94. FM, who ran a series of interviews with Fringe participants and volunteers over a five week period on the Robert Elms Show. Additional TV support came from ITV Weather and BBC London TV News.
